I pre-ordered Regina Spektor’s new album, What We Saw From The Cheap Seats and it was supposed to arrive yesterday, but for some reason UPS could not find my house. The same house that they have delivered hundreds of things to in the past year or so, therefore I had to wait until today to get it. I have to admit I love this CD, there are of course my favorites, but overall it’s a good CD. Paired with some Mentos Gum, Piiq Earbuds, and my favorite Puma Watch, today has been pretty awesome.

Yesterday I went on a hike with my family to the waterfall, we go about once a year. It is two miles up and two miles back down, doesn’t sound like a lot, but trust me it is pretty rough. The great thing is, there is tons of beautiful scenery to look at on your way there! Here are some pictures that I snapped on my phone.

I just ordered this awesome jacked pullover from Jack Threads. I can’t wait to get it because it is supposed to be really soft and comfortable, and I mean seriously, it looks great! Join me on Jack Threads, trust me, they have some of the coolest clothes for guys.

Recently I tried some really different but amazing foods at Sheetz! I got their Buffalo Chicken Flatbread, California Rolls, and BLK Water. Believe it or not this is the first time that I have ever had sushi, and I loved it! California rolls are fantastic to say the least, now I just want to try some other kinds of sushi. The Buffalo Chicken Flatbread was crazy hot but still tasted good, and the BLK Water was…well, it was black but tasted like water. To my relief it did not turn my mouth black. For those of you who have never tried it before, it is water that is actually healthy for you, the minerals in it cause it to turn black.

I also had fun hanging out with some friends from High School. I haven’t gotten to see many people since graduation, but I got the opportunity to go eat and shop with some of them, and it was nice. The girl in the picture is really fun to be around, trust me. I also recently took my brother to an overlook not too far from where I live, he had never been so I thought he would like to see it. Oddly enough, we saw my old choir and music teacher from high school there. I will end by saying I have been trying to live healthier, and so I bought this drink that is supposed to be good for you, well, it was nasty. It may not be to some people, but it was hard for me to drink it all.

Life has been really nice lately. Not too busy, finals are now officially over, so I feel relieved as far as school goes. The summer is making it’s way here. I took my dog, who acted horrible, to the park the other day. My dog cried in the car for no reason what so ever, she does that in the car. Once at the park she barked at every dog she saw, every child playing or walking by, and of course she couldn’t resist sniffing out every duck dropping that she could find. On top of all of that, she attempted to jump in the lake. My dog loves to swim, but we have found that once she begins swimming, she won’t stop and someone has to swim and get her. I don’t think she was purposefully being mean, she just gets very excited about things.

In other news, I am working on starting up a small online watch company called One Wolf Watches. The name came from my love for animals, art, and the fact that I will be running the company (at least at first) by myself. The watches won’t be in for about another month, but I am just excited to be opening another online business. My favorite part thus far has been designing the logo and website and coming up with personalized packaging for the watches. I have a feeling this summer is going to be a good one.

Today was not crazy eventful, but it was a good day in my opinion. First of all, got to spend it with my family which is always good. I ordered my dog a new toy called a Snowball, it’s supposed to be near impossible to chew up, so let’s hope it does it’s job and holds up as a new toy for her. I figured I would end the day with an instagram photo of my new bedding and favorite piece of new art that I purchased.

The phone I have been dreaming of is finally mine. Oddly enough, nTelos Wireless, the people I have cell phone service through got the iPhone 4S, and the rest is history. I had a Blackberry Bold 9650, but my parents took it and let me renew their contract to get the iPhone, I got white and I love this thing, only problem is my Otterbox won’t be here for another day or so, therefore I have to take EXTRA care of this thing and not drop it, normally I would never drop my phone, but I don’t want to risk this because if I break it a new one at retail cost is $650…that’s just crazy since they are only $150 with a contract.

It’s almost summer and time to think about making healthier choices in your day to day life. Here are a few I have implemented into mine.

1. Bolthouse Farms Vanilla Chai

2. FitBit - Tracks your steps and sleeping

3. MyFitnessPal App - Overall amazing app

These are some things I recommend you look into if you want to make living a healthier life easier.

I spoke recently about how I am making my room more minimal, well I decided to get these awesome invisible bookshelf’s from Umbra. They are amazing! I love how they look, when my other prints arrive I will be moving a painting that I did to that wall as well, so it will look a little more full, but not too busy. I am looking forward to getting everything in and having it all put into place.

It’s been a while since I worked on my book, Harvester Of Light, but today I was messing around in Pixelmator (the better than photoshop tool for macs) and I think I made the cover of the book. Back to the book I go.

Here are some more things that I have been working on lately, nothing too fantastic, but that’s kinda’ the point. This series I am working on is just a huge compilation of alternative style digital art.

I have been really inspired lately to create some unusual art and I have recently found the perfect medium for me. Digital art! I hope to create a whole collective of digital art and eventually sell prints of them, I am going for an alternative style. The one picture is the art itself and the other is what it will possibly look like in print on a wall, not my wall though, I got that image of a room online haha.

Recently I was inspired by all of the design research that I have been doing with Toast Pop and I decided that minimal and simplistic is the style for me. My room has been quite messy since my move from college back to my home, now I live at home and attend a local college. Since my room was a bit of a mess I literally took the clutter and put it all in my closet, good idea right? The next step was to organize my closet, which I am proud to say is complete, but my dresser where I had my keys and wallet was a mess, so I took things away from it and placed two boxes for storage and design there along with a stream of polaroids (they are only temporary because the polaroid album I ordered from Seoul, Korea is not in yet). I think it turned out pretty nice and simple, hope it appears that way to others. I am in the process of remodeling my entire room, so expect updates as things arrive and are put into place.

{1} Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccino [one of their most flavorful and relaxing drinks, a personal favorite of mine.]

{2} Mike & Ike’s [the best candy ever, no discussion needed.]

{3} Moleskine Books [journals, sketchbooks, planners, they have it all and you will not find a higher quality book that gets the job done.]

Things are getting green, the holidays, the weather, seems like green is making it’s way back into our lives. These are just a few of my favorite things that have a little green in them.

I feel like it’s time to share some of the awesome things that I love and think others will too. First off, lomography cameras like the Holga 135 are a must have, if you love taking pictures and standing out without standing out, get one. Second, WIRED Magazine is a fun read with more topics on technology than one may care to have all in one place, but still a very good monthly read. Lastly, Coloud Colors are amazing quality earbuds that look great at the same time as sounding great. These are my Indie Guy Essentials for the week.
