// My Book & Gungor//

So I have been working really hard on my new book lately. It is for sure going to be my favorite of my works once it is complete. The cooler news is I recently found out about the band Gungor and listening to them while writing has proven to be more than enough inspiration to get the words on the pages, so to say. Their music is enlightening and most importantly spiritual.

It is hard for me to find artist who convey such meaning in their words and still sound good, but I seriously got lucky when I found Gungor. I can’t wait to finish the book and get it out there in the marketplace on Amazon and such. In other news my first book, Jim, is now on Amazon for sell as a paperback or on the Kindle. It is also FREE to read for anyone with an Amazon Prime account and a Kindle. Cool huh?

Well, I think it is. It is seriously great to work so hard on something and find out that it is getting recognition. I am not sure when I will be finished with Harvester Of Light, but my Editor is just as excited about it as I am, so the release is sure to be a huge event, even if it is just huge for me, haha. I am actually going to go right now to take some pictures for possible cover ideas, so goodbye for now.

// Christmas Wish List //

Here are the things that I would love to get for Christmas, it’s not a very big list, but keep in mind this is accompanied by many many many BluRay DVD’s that I wanted.

Adele’s Live Concert on BluRay!

Skyrim for PS3!

A PS3!

// Red Bodum Brazil French Coffee Press//

Lately I have been convincing myself not to buy anything all day every day. This has lasted 3 days, today that was broken. I spent quite a bit of money on buying Christmas presents for everyone last week (may have gotten a few for myself too) and now when I look at my credit card statement, I feel the pain… Don’t worry though everyone, I have money to cover my statement this month.

Today I was on the website, Yeardsellr, a website that I tell myself is not worth it because you pay the site itself a few bucks each time you place an order, how’s that fair to the buyer? Anyway, they do this thing to reel you in called giving you “photons” which are like their currency that spend the same as cash. Cool idea, no clue why it’s called photons. I saw something that I have wanted for a VERY long time, a French Coffee Press by Bodum. I wasn’t crazy about the color, it’s red, but I got it anyway because I had like $8 in photons. It is brand new, and I bet it makes some wonderful coffee, that is to be determined…

// Harvester Of Light Preview//

Here is an exclusive preview of my new upcoming book, Harvester Of Light.

// I’m Full Of A Book//

Lately I have been more than frustrated with the lack of ambition towards life that those here at college show. I believe more and more that most of the people are not here for an education to better their lives and chances at a career, but I think they are here to prolong having to get a real job and do something. It is so sad to say, but that is the discovery that I have made. The people here, especially my roommate, do not seem to really want to be here and learn, no…they just didn’t want to have to go get a real job and work so this seemed to be the easiest way to avoid that.

Aside from the world disappointing me, I have been working really hard on my all new book! I can’t tell much right now, except the title. It is called Harvester Of Light! The book is about this forest civilization where there are treacherous beings called Shadowers, and of course the good ones who are called Harvesters. There is a intricate twist already thrown into the mix and a more than welcoming storyboard, so I am hoping that everyone likes it once it is done. I do not expect this book to be complete and sent to my publisher for quite some time since I want this to be my “masterpiece” of the year. I put so much hard work into everything that I do, and I suppose that is why it’s disheartening to have those around me be so unenthusiastic about everything that they do…for now I am going to go and enjoy the time I have alone until my horrid roommate returns from whatever asylum he visits and calls home (he’s not really in an asylum…I don’t think).

// It Sometimes Rains On Those Who Volunteer//

It was an awfully gloomy day here on campus. It was dark and rainy. Alicia and I decided to go to the Gear Up office to see how we could help out, we are all about helping! We herd that they had some paper work that they really needed done, so we figured that we would walk to their office and help them out. The Gear Up office is about a ten minute walk from my room here on campus, probably less than that, so it isn’t very far. Still,when you are in the rain, I think everything takes about five times longer, even walking. I actually wore shoes today, I usually go with flip-flops, so I didn’t have to worry about my feet getting too wet, Alicia on the other hand wore open toed dress shoes…not a good idea. Instead of walking, I think she was swimming. Her shoes were throwing out water with every step she took, she wasn’t too thrilled with that.

Once we get over to the office, we realize that the people who are usually there don’t have their cars in the parking lot…perhaps they were not there? They weren’t. I do not blame them because none of us really got together on a specific time to come and help out with paperwork, so I suppose Alicia and I were partially to blame. We didn’t get to help out, but we did get soaking wet!!! When I got back to my room, I realized that even though I didn’t wear flip-flops, my pants had gotten so wet from puddles of rain that my feet were still wet. I am not a fan of the rain, now the snow, I love the snow, but this was rain. Either way me and Alicia learnt one valuable lesson today…It sometimes rains on those who volunteer.

// It’s Christmas! Not Really.//

Lately I have been living life like it’s December 2011! I have already gotten into the Christmas Spirit and I literally cannot wait until Christmas! I have begun ordering Christmas presents and playing endless amounts of Christmas music. I have to say though, since I came to college, I have sort of dropped off of the face of the Earth…no pictures, updates, videos. It’s sad, but this place is not interesting at all. No worries though, I will fix all of that soon.

MERRY EARLY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

// R.I.P. Steve Jobs//

I normally don’t make post here unless they pertain to my daily life, but this does, trust me. Today, Wednesday, October 5, 2011, one of the greatest men in history has left us. Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, passed away today. I just want to say, thank you Steve, you changed my life and the lives of everyone with your insight and love for what you did. I already miss you, Apple is what you made it, and I don’t see how it will ever be the same. The world won’t be the same. Goodbye Steve Jobs, you are loved and missed.

// Culturefest//

This past weekend I volunteered 16 hours for an awesome local event that people travel from all around the country for called Culturefest! It’s basically a big celebration of the arts. There was awesome music, great art, good food, and friendly people. Lots of people stayed and camped the entire four days, since the festival last four days. It last all day and all night and doesn’t end until the end of the fourth day. I got a free weekend pass since I volunteered. The people there were so care free and unique. It was just a very great experience. Although it was very fun I was exhausted when I came back to the school where I live every evening. In fact I am still recovering from all of the excitement. You can see in the pictures that I took while I was there that it was a great time! People danced, sang, sold handmade things,created art, and just made an overall cultural experience.

// School Is In Session//

Recently school started for me, my first year of college. The first picture below is of me on the first day of classes. I took it on the way from my dorm room to class. My classes so far seem ok, some are hard and others are enjoyable. I have already had to write an essay for my English 101 class. I was actually shocked by how much books for college cost, it’s quite sad that students who just want to further their education have to pay such high prices just for their books alone. I suppose that’s the same for college’s everywhere though. Also, check out how cool the boxes in the post office on campus look, I love my post office box! They remind me so much of something from Harry potter.

On top of all of this, I have met a ton of cool new friends! I was surprised at the amount of people that love Harry Potter in college! Even the professors seem to be incorporating it into their power points and lessons! It’s pretty awesome! Especially the fact that I met the most amazing Harry Potter fans ever, that’s you Natasha, Sarah, & Elizabeth! So to sum up, schools going great so far!

// My University Has Good Food//

I have been moved into my dorm room since last Tuesday and there is one thing that I have discovered, the food here is pretty good. I have herd a lot of people say that they don’t like it, or that they have ate it so much that they are tired of it, but I honestly love it! I have literally found myself eating much more than I probably should, just because the food is good. It’s different every day too, always something new. There are the usuals that they have every day such as the sandwiches, wraps, and the biscuits and gravy at breakfast, but the good thing is that they have something new added every day! If you don’t believe me, just take a look at my lunch yesterday. I had a spinach bread wrap with roast beef and cheese, rice noodles with grilled shrimp, and cheese bread. I wonder if all colleges have good food, or perhaps I just got lucky?

// Going To College//

Within the next few days I will be moving to my dorm at college. It’s crazy to think about because it’s all happened so fast. Yesterday I was just starting middle school, or so it seems. I am excited and worried all at the same time. I have already taken out loans to pay for the entier year, so I have no choice but to stay once I go, but will I like it? I sure hope so! I also recently had my hair styled. At first I didn’t like it, but the more I see myself with it, the more I like it. I feel like it works for me. So to sum up, I am moving to college and got an awesome hairstyle!

// Party Party Party!!!//

Every time that my cousin Sarah comes in to visit, it seems I end up with some kind of great video of her doing something funny. She’s a fun person to be around and she loves to dance, the product is this video! Feel free to repost and help spread this around the internet!

// The Panera Garden//

So recently I took a short road trip with some of my best friends, Dezzy and Brittany. We decided to spend the day in a town about an hour and a half away from where we live, just to get away for the day and have fun. We went to Panera Bread for breakfast, then we went shopping, then finally we topped the day off with an amazing meal at Olive Garden! While shopping we went to Barns & Nobles and met an author of a book titled The Strange Case Of Origami Yoda. He asked us to make little green origami Yoda figures with him, and we did. Before we left he asked if he could get a picture of us for his blog, and of course we agreed to that! He took a picture of us on his iPad and when I got home I found out we were already on the blog! I took a screen shot of it, in case I ever need proof that something that cool actually happened to me. The whole trip was a much needed experience and we all had a ton of fun!

// Louder Than Words//

Yesterday my friend Dezzy and I went shopping, got some delicious Starbucks Coffee, and took some really great pictures, it was a great way for me to test out my new Canon Power Shot ELPH 300 HS!
