I have complied a bunch of photos that I have taken on my new Fuji Instax Mini 7s for your viewing. I hope you like them because I have had a ton of fun taking the pictures!

Note: The first one of Winnie The Pooh, I held it way too close to the light and, well you can see what happened…

It has been raining pretty heavy lately, but today the rain let up and the sun came out, and the result was a beautiful day. School is over for the week, thank goodness, and the weekend is here! I made a 93 in my History 106 class, that made my week! It’s really hard to believe that midterms are next week, but enough about school.. Tonight I am going to the reopening of Open Mic, hopefully the new building will be nicer, but there’s only one way to find out!

I thought it would be a great time to take some pictures since the sun was shinning and the day was young.

Today was a really nice sunny day. With that said, a vending machine stole my money today. I was at my college, waiting between classes since there is a 2 hour gap between them, and I decided that I wanted some coffee. I went to the vending machine that you can buy coffee from, should’ve known better than buying coffee from a vending machine, and I put in a dollar. I got my change back and could hear the machine making really loud noises. I suppose it was just mixing the coffee with cream and sugar, but it was seriously loud. Then the little door opened and the cup of coffee was suppose to be sitting there waiting on me, but it wasn’t. Coffee was dripping down the sides of the inside of the machine, so I guess the machine was out of cups and just poured my coffee into nothingness…nice! Last time I got a cappuccino from this machine it worked fine. I called the number on the machine to ask for a refund, who knows how that would even work, and they didn’t bother refunding me but did say someone would be there to fix it…not that it matters because that machine will not be getting any more of my money anytime soon!

I was pretty mad, even though it was a few cents, that was my money that they got for nothing. I went to McDonalds, there is one about three minutes from campus, and got a Caramel Frappe. It was ten times better than a crappy vending machine coffee would’ve been anyway.

So much has happened lately, it has all gone by in a blur. I have met so many new people, done so many new things, and stressed more than I ever have in my entire life. All of those things are the direct result of college. I began college at the beginning of this school year at one college, and now I am at another, I transfered. While at the first college I started an online magazine called Toast Pop, was featured in the college’s newspaper, and met a pile of new friends. I can honestly say I enjoyed working on the website with my newly met friends at that college!

Since moving back home for the second semester and transferring colleges I have developed an addiction to StarBucks Via Ready Brews. I like the Columbia ones. My new school is a little more stressful, probably because ironically enough I don’t know as many people. There are a bunch of people from my high school who go to college with me now, but I don’t necessarily have classes with them. I got to know a bunch of people at my first college, so I knew someone in every class I had. Regardless, I am very happy to be back home with my family. I am sure that classes will be easier next semester.

The upside about my new college is that I like the food in their cafeteria pretty good. Though the cafeteria is on the entire other side of campus and the walk is almost not worth it, the food is pretty decent. I also really like the drinks they serve, lime Jarritos! I have a hard time getting the lid off of them, since they require a bottle opener, but I have found that using an old key to pry off the lid works. I suppose you have to give up some things to get some things, that only makes sense. I think I gained quite a bit though, being back home is great, I have some amazing family!

I sure have missed blogging, I sort of quit because I wasn’t sure that anyone was reading, but you know what, I think I am going to blog for the reason that I feel blogging was created, to log memories in a format that works for all of us in the “digital age”!

Here are the things that I would love to get for Christmas, it’s not a very big list, but keep in mind this is accompanied by many many many BluRay DVD’s that I wanted.

Adele’s Live Concert on BluRay!

Skyrim for PS3!

A PS3!

Lately I have been convincing myself not to buy anything all day every day. This has lasted 3 days, today that was broken. I spent quite a bit of money on buying Christmas presents for everyone last week (may have gotten a few for myself too) and now when I look at my credit card statement, I feel the pain… Don’t worry though everyone, I have money to cover my statement this month.

Today I was on the website, Yeardsellr, a website that I tell myself is not worth it because you pay the site itself a few bucks each time you place an order, how’s that fair to the buyer? Anyway, they do this thing to reel you in called giving you “photons” which are like their currency that spend the same as cash. Cool idea, no clue why it’s called photons. I saw something that I have wanted for a VERY long time, a French Coffee Press by Bodum. I wasn’t crazy about the color, it’s red, but I got it anyway because I had like $8 in photons. It is brand new, and I bet it makes some wonderful coffee, that is to be determined…

It was an awfully gloomy day here on campus. It was dark and rainy. Alicia and I decided to go to the Gear Up office to see how we could help out, we are all about helping! We herd that they had some paper work that they really needed done, so we figured that we would walk to their office and help them out. The Gear Up office is about a ten minute walk from my room here on campus, probably less than that, so it isn’t very far. Still, when you are in the rain, I think everything takes about five times longer, even walking. I actually wore shoes today, I usually go with flip-flops, so I didn’t have to worry about my feet getting too wet, Alicia on the other hand wore open toed dress shoes…not a good idea. Instead of walking, I think she was swimming. Her shoes were throwing out water with every step she took, she wasn’t too thrilled with that.

Once we get over to the office, we realize that the people who are usually there don’t have their cars in the parking lot…perhaps they were not there? They weren’t. I do not blame them because none of us really got together on a specific time to come and help out with paperwork, so I suppose Alicia and I were partially to blame. We didn’t get to help out, but we did get soaking wet!!! When I got back to my room, I realized that even though I didn’t wear flip-flops, my pants had gotten so wet from puddles of rain that my feet were still wet. I am not a fan of the rain, now the snow, I love the snow, but this was rain. Either way me and Alicia learnt one valuable lesson today…It sometimes rains on those who volunteer.

Lately I have been living life like it’s December 2011! I have already gotten into the Christmas Spirit and I literally cannot wait until Christmas! I have begun ordering Christmas presents and playing endless amounts of Christmas music. I have to say though, since I came to college, I have sort of dropped off of the face of the Earth…no pictures, updates, videos. It’s sad, but this place is not interesting at all. No worries though, I will fix all of that soon.

MERRY EARLY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I normally don’t make post here unless they pertain to my daily life, but this does, trust me. Today, Wednesday, October 5, 2011, one of the greatest men in history has left us. Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, passed away today. I just want to say, thank you Steve, you changed my life and the lives of everyone with your insight and love for what you did. I already miss you, Apple is what you made it, and I don’t see how it will ever be the same. The world won’t be the same. Goodbye Steve Jobs, you are loved and missed.

This past weekend I volunteered 16 hours for an awesome local event that people travel from all around the country for called Culturefest! It’s basically a big celebration of the arts. There was awesome music, great art, good food, and friendly people. Lots of people stayed and camped the entire four days, since the festival last four days. It last all day and all night and doesn’t end until the end of the fourth day. I got a free weekend pass since I volunteered. The people there were so care free and unique. It was just a very great experience. Although it was very fun I was exhausted when I came back to the school where I live every evening. In fact I am still recovering from all of the excitement. You can see in the pictures that I took while I was there that it was a great time! People danced, sang, sold handmade things, created art, and just made an overall cultural experience.

Recently school started for me, my first year of college. The first picture below is of me on the first day of classes. I took it on the way from my dorm room to class. My classes so far seem ok, some are hard and others are enjoyable. I have already had to write an essay for my English 101 class. I was actually shocked by how much books for college cost, it’s quite sad that students who just want to further their education have to pay such high prices just for their books alone. I suppose that’s the same for college’s everywhere though. Also, check out how cool the boxes in the post office on campus look, I love my post office box! They remind me so much of something from Harry potter.

On top of all of this, I have met a ton of cool new friends! I was surprised at the amount of people that love Harry Potter in college! Even the professors seem to be incorporating it into their power points and lessons! It’s pretty awesome! Especially the fact that I met the most amazing Harry Potter fans ever, that’s you Natasha, Sarah, & Elizabeth! So to sum up, schools going great so far!

I have been moved into my dorm room since last Tuesday and there is one thing that I have discovered, the food here is pretty good. I have herd a lot of people say that they don’t like it, or that they have ate it so much that they are tired of it, but I honestly love it! I have literally found myself eating much more than I probably should, just because the food is good. It’s different every day too, always something new. There are the usuals that they have every day such as the sandwiches, wraps, and the biscuits and gravy at breakfast, but the good thing is that they have something new added every day! If you don’t believe me, just take a look at my lunch yesterday. I had a spinach bread wrap with roast beef and cheese, rice noodles with grilled shrimp, and cheese bread. I wonder if all colleges have good food, or perhaps I just got lucky?

Within the next few days I will be moving to my dorm at college. It’s crazy to think about because it’s all happened so fast. Yesterday I was just starting middle school, or so it seems. I am excited and worried all at the same time. I have already taken out loans to pay for the entier year, so I have no choice but to stay once I go, but will I like it? I sure hope so! I also recently had my hair styled. At first I didn’t like it, but the more I see myself with it, the more I like it. I feel like it works for me. So to sum up, I am moving to college and got an awesome hairstyle!

So recently I took a short road trip with some of my best friends, Dezzy and Brittany. We decided to spend the day in a town about an hour and a half away from where we live, just to get away for the day and have fun. We went to Panera Bread for breakfast, then we went shopping, then finally we topped the day off with an amazing meal at Olive Garden! While shopping we went to Barns & Nobles and met an author of a book titled The Strange Case Of Origami Yoda. He asked us to make little green origami Yoda figures with him, and we did. Before we left he asked if he could get a picture of us for his blog, and of course we agreed to that! He took a picture of us on his iPad and when I got home I found out we were already on the blog! I took a screen shot of it, in case I ever need proof that something that cool actually happened to me. The whole trip was a much needed experience and we all had a ton of fun!
